What's New: Case Homepage Redesign, Team Roles, and Smarter Document Links

We redesigned the case homepage, added team role management, improved document ranking with footnote citations, and connected documents across all collections.

Redesigned Case Homepage

The case homepage — the first thing lawyers see when opening a case — got a major refresh. We reworked it to give a better overview of the full case at a glance: what's happening now, which documents and people matter most, and where to go next. We made it faster to orient yourself and get to work.

See Where Every Document Is Referenced

When viewing a document, lawyers can now see every claim that references it — whether directly or through a footnote. No more wondering "where did this come up?" It's right there on the document page, one click away from the full claim.

Smarter Key Documents Ranking

The case homepage highlights the most important documents based on how often they're referenced across the case. This now includes footnote citations too, not just direct links — so the ranking better reflects which documents actually matter most.

Manage Team Roles and Case Access

Admins can now edit team members' roles and control which cases they can access, directly from the People page. Keep your team organized and your cases secure — without leaving the app.

Documents Now Connect Across All Collections

In Sputnik, every document, claim, and person is connected — so lawyers can stop searching for things and just click through to what they need. Previously, when connecting documents to claims, Sputnik only looked at documents from the same procedural step. Now it searches across all document collections in the case, so relevant evidence is found regardless of which filing it was part of.
