What's New: Smarter Chat With Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Phase-Aware AI

Sputnik's AI assistant now runs on Claude Sonnet 4.6, understands which phase of the case you're in, and plans its approach before diving into research.

Upgraded to Claude Sonnet 4.6

Sputnik's AI assistant now runs on Anthropic's latest model, Claude Sonnet 4.6. It's better at reasoning about complex legal questions, more accurate when citing sources, and faster at working through large amounts of case material.

The AI Now Understands Case Phases

Arbitration cases move through distinct phases — memorials, responses, hearings, post-hearing briefs. Sputnik's AI now knows which phase the case is in and what's been filed so far. When you ask a question, it frames its answer in the right procedural context. It knows what has been submitted and what's still coming.

Think First, Then Act

When lawyers start a new conversation with a complex question, Sputnik now takes a moment to reformulate the question and plan its approach before diving into research. The result: better-structured answers that actually address what was asked, rather than jumping straight to the first relevant document.

  • Retry failed files — When a file fails to process, lawyers can now retry it directly from the file page or retry all failed files at once from the processing analytics page.
  • Better search results — Searching for a file by its formal ID (like "C-001" or "R-042") now returns that file first, regardless of other keyword matches.
